Dancing Circles: Strong Hoop, Strong Spirit (2003), is a Cree/English Instructional Video Resource on Hoop Dancing and is accompanied by "The Hoop Dance", a teacher resource found on this page and in the related lesson plans. Both are aligned with Saskatchewan Learning curriculum. These resources are shared with permission from the writer, Dr. Anna-Leah King from the University of Regina, Division Media and Technology at the University of Saskatchewan, and the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division.
We respectfully acknowledge the original lands of the Indigenous Peoples of Treaty 4: Cree, Saulteaux, Nakota, Dakota, Lakota and Treaty 6: Cree, Saulteaux, Dene, and Dakota whose language and songs are shared by Elders and Knowledge Keepers. As well, we acknowledge the homeland to many winged, four-legged, crawling, and water creatures.
