Shannon Fayant from Scott Collegiate, Regina, Saskatchewan, discusses their land-based programs delivered to over 250 students between grades 9-12. In combination with Elders-in-Residence, project-based and Cree language programs, Scott Collegiate puts a strong focus on land-based programming. In partnership with Lumsden Beach Camp, students are able to access the land and get hands-on experience learning about the plants, animals, as well as take part in activities, such as canoeing certification.
