The First Light Friendship Centre in St. John’s provides an afterschool program with culturally relevant programming in a safe and nurturing environment. Children take part in games and activities to enhance understanding of their heritage, and take part in making healthy snacks and doing homework together. First Light Friendship Centre also provides cultural presentations to schools to promote Aboriginal awareness.
