The Pic River First Nation School is an on reserve school that has created their own curriculum that meets the needs and expectations of the community itself. The school integrates ceremony, language and land in every aspect of the classroom and curriculum. They have worked to move away from “teacher as expert” and move more towards life long learning together as community.
